Welcome to Calamberation Talks, a podcast where generations come together for honest conversations about mental health, relationships, and the realities of growng up Gen Z.
Founded in 2024, Calamberation began as a collaboration between Caleb, a Gen Z young adult, and his mother, Dr. Amber Jones, a Licensed Professional Counselor. Its name -a playful blend of “Caleb” and “Amber”-reflects the heart of teh podcast: bringing personal experience, professional insight, and different generational perspectives into the same conversation.
Together, Caleb and Amber explore the complicated dynamics between parents and their children, the pressures facing today’s young adults, and the growing mental health challenges affecting young people and families. Caleb offers an authentic Gen Z perspective, while Amber draws from her professional experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families to provide context and guidance.
Through curiosity, honesty, and humor, Calamberation Talks creates space for difficult topics to be explored, every perspective to be heardd, and generations to understand one another a little better.
Hosts

Caleb, Host
Meet Caleb, a 19-year-old Gen Z young adult learning what it really means to build a life beyond high school. After discovering that the traditional college path wasn’t the right fit for him, Caleb shifted his focus toward employment, independence, and becoming a self-sufficient-and reasonably functioning-member of society.
As teh original inspiration and Gen Z voice behind Calamberation Talks, Caleb brings an honest, firsthand perspective to conversations about mental health, social pressures, family relationshps, digital life, and the often-messy transition into adulthood. His willingness to question expectations, reconsider his path, and share what he is learning along the way reflects what the podcast is all about: honest conversations, personal growth, and recognizing that there is more than one way to build a meaningful future.
Founder & Host

Dr. Amber Jones, PhD, LPC, NCC, ACS
I’m Amber, the founder of Calamberation Talks—and the “Amber” behind the name. I’m a Licensed Professional Counselor, educator, storyteller, and mother of four sons whose personal and professional life has been shaped by a desire to better understand people, relationships, and the experiences that influence who we become.
I created Calamberation with my son ecause I believe some of the most important conversations happen when we stop speaking for one another and start listening to one another. As a therapist, I bring years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. As a mother, I bring something equally important: the humility of knowing that professional training does not mean I always have parenting—or my own children—completely figured out.
Through Calamberation Talks I hope to bridge the space between generations by exploring mental health, parent-child relationships, changing expectations, identity, and the realities of growing up Gen Z. These conversations combine professional insight with lived experience, curiosity, honesty, and humor.
My goal is not to provide perfect answers. It is to create space for people to tell the truth about what they are experiencing, listen without immediately trying to fix one another, and discover that understanding can begin even when we do not see things the same way.
Guest Hosts and Contributors

Bridging the Gap….
Calamberation Talks believes the best conversations include more than one perspective. Guest hosts and contributing members bring their lived experiences, professional knowledge, personal stories, and honest opinions to the conversation. Whether joining us for a single episode or becoming a familiar voice, each contributor helps us explore complex topics, challenge assumptions, and better understand the experiences shaping different generations.
Different voices. Real experiences. Better conversations.
