Honest conversations. Intentional choices. Stronger Connections.
Every story has an origin—and Calamberation’s story began during COVID, long before we recorded our first official episode.
Working in an emergency room during COVID, I would come home carrying stories of fear, isolation, uncertainty, and families struggling to understand one another while the world around them changed almost overnight. I kept noticing the same painful disconnect: people loved each other, but they did not always know how to hear one another, talk about what they were experiencing, or find the support they needed.
Those experiences followed me home and became conversations with my son. Somewhere along the way, we found our playfully cliche name for collaboration—and Calamberation was born. Caleb created the original accounts to help us get started as part of a task to keep him busy and learning, and the idea began taking shape: a place where different generations could talk honestly about mental health, relationships, and the realities shaping their lives.
Years later, that early idea became Calamberation Talks.
I may be a Licensed Professional Counselor with years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families—but that does not mean I have parenting, relationships, mental health, or life completely figured out. Caleb brings the lived experience of growing up Gen Z and finding his way into adulthood. I bring professional knowledge, a mother’s perspective, lots of questions, and—more often than I care to admit—way too many tabs open in my brain.
Along with guest hosts, experts, and contributing voices, we explore mental health, parent-child relationships, generational differences, identity, social pressures, and the systems influencing our lives. We look beyond behaviors, diagnoses, conflicts, and carefully curated social media posts to find the stories underneath—the parts that often go unheard when we are too busy reacting, fixing, or defending our own version of what happened.
At the heart of Calamberation is the belief that meaningful change requires intention. We can choose to listen differently, respond more thoughtfully, ask better questions, and become more curious about the people we love. But being intentional does not mean doing everything alone. We also need families, schools, workplaces, healthcare providers, communities, and mental health professionals willing to become part of systems that genuinely support people—not merely systems they have to survive.
We don’t promise perfect answers, five easy steps, or neatly wrapped endings. We offer real conversations, professional insight, personal stories, practical tools, humor, and permission to keep filling in the blanks as we go.
Whether you are a parent trying to understand your child, a young adult trying to understand yourself, a professional trying to better support others, or simply a human trying to navigate relationships with a little more grace, there is room for your story here.
Different generations. Real experiences. Every story heard.
Tune in and be part of the Calamberation. Listen more closely, live more intentionally, find the support we need, and create healthier stories together—one honest conversation at a time.
